Suigō Omigawa Cherry Blossom and Azalea Festival

At Jōyama Park, known to be the greatest cherry blossom spot in the Hokusō region, 1,000 cherry trees blossom across the entire mountain. The best time to see the cherry blossoms is in late March, early April. At night, paper-covered lanterns around the Jōyama Park Information Center and the red bridge light up, creating a romantic evening scene of cherry blossoms (6:00 PM – 9:00 PM). Many visitors come day and night to see these cherry blossoms.

In early May, 4,000 azalea shrubs blossom across the entire mountain.
